21 Apartments and Day Care CenterThis is a design for a residential building in The Bronx, New York. It is a six story building with ground floor day care center There are 21 residential units. The 3rd through 6th floors have set backs for terraces with green spaces. These apartments have green space for vegetable gardens and plants (with grey water recycling for watering the gardens). The terraces all have solar sun screens at the windows and doors. The façade is made of 2 colors of fiber cement board, to break down the scale and give an identity to this building amongst the urban landscape of red brick townhouses and buildings in the Bronx.
